Email me if you want photos of window seal creep

I have photos of serious window seal creep from the coach we hope to buy (Allure # 30180) plus a member of this group send me one from his 1998 Magna.

Email me if you would like to look at these and the one from the Magna. They all exhibit the same behavior which is clearly indicative of pressure problems and/or expansion of the seal itself causing it to snake. I've seen no examples where the seal snaked outwards, they all seem to snake inwards, suggesting that there is some type of pressure inbalance.

The song and dance the manufacturer is apparently giving is that they only warranty for 3 years. This does not negate the fact that owners of expensive coaches have a reasonable expectation that a window unit will last more than 3 years. Any more than Lexus owners expect their expensive cars to stop running when the one year warranty expires.

Any way, FYI. If there are a number of you who have this problem, the best way to get action is to work together and complain loudly to CC. At the very minimum, even if the window manufacturer won't do anything, CC should be providing replacements at cost, which would reduce the price by at least one third or more.

Hi Dan,

I would appreciate if you would send the problem window pictures. I can't decide if I have the problem. I would be happy to join an action.

I don't need the photos Don. When I was at Guarantee RV for a week, I got to look at 97 and 98 CC units up for resale. They all had the problem, as well as peeling clearcoat on the edge of the roof.
CC doesn't accept responsibility for that either.

Yes, Dan, I would appreciate your email photos. I may have the problem on one bedroom window on my 2000 Allure but am not sure what the problem should look like. I also assume that once the problem starts it will become evident on other windows too. I might be ready to join in a class action suit too...Thanks, Mike Lewis, 2000 Allure 30493.
