Step cover won't move

Step cover won't move

We just changed our engine batteries and now the step cover will not close. It makes a clicking noise at the cover. The other switches next to it work (inside overhead light and outside porch light) Any trouble shooting advise?

Lori,

We had the same problem last year after changing our starter batteries. Country Coach said it was the motor and sold us a new one. It turned out to be an electric window motor from a car. That didn't fix the problem. I cleaned the runners and lubicrated them with dry silicone and haven't had a problem since. That was a year ago.
