Ice maker problem

Yahoo Message Number: 85547
I have a norcold 1200 with a ice maker that does not work. The freezer gets to -05 and I have water to the unit it just makes a funny sound all the time even if I turn the fridge off I still hear it until I turn the breaker off. It sounds like fluid moving.

We removed the ice maker from our 1200 LRIM. Too much mold build up and no easy way to clean it. See here: http://muniac.smugmug.com/Maintenance/Another-Frig-Melt-Down-1142012/i-q6WQ6mW/0/M/IMG_3691-M.jpg The ice maker has a separate plug accessible from the back panel. Unplug it. I installed a shut off valve in the water line and turn it off too.

Scott.

I had to repace the ice maker in my 1200 a few years ago. Not a hard job to do and the ice makers you can by just about any where. I would not buy from Norcold as they were very high. Son-in-law in the Portland area got mine for less than $125.00.
