Hi this weekend my wife had a close call when the power steering pump shaft sheared while she was on an interstate, she lost steering assist and managed to get it to the side of the road. We had it towed to a good shop in Middletown N.Y. After they diagnosed the problem they found no pumps available for 2 or 3 weeks. I called CC, it topok 24 hours before a human returned my call with messages to 3 different people. I will get a pump overnighted and hopefully get back on the road. We have 65,000 miles which seems very little on a pump that is $600 plus shipping and labor. If you haven't had the experience I hope you don't as with all of the problems we have had with this coach CC never seems to have heard of it before.

Rick,

You should take the time to report the poor response to CC service. Try Doug Beaudry. They have expanded their phone support hours and have someone on duty during the weekend. I think the new times are on their web site.

Rich,

You might want to take a look at your vibration damper. According to Cummins a bad damper can cause all kinds of engine accessory failures such as this.
