Want to replace original 2002 sound system

Yahoo Message Number: 86614
My 2002 Intrigue came with an in-dash Panasonic CQ-VA707WEUC radio/LCD monitor and a "DHS Mobile Theater System" amplifier and speakers. I want to keep the in-dash unit as much as I despise the non-user-friendly menus but I would like to replace the sound system.
We bought the coach when it was 2 years old and even though I'm not an audiophile, this sound system sucks and has deteriorated over the past 9 years to the point that I now get no sound at all. I would like to do a minimal replacement and want to know what others might have done in their similar coaches that might have been similarly equipped. There are 4 overhead cube speakers, 2 forward and 2 in the galley; the amplifier is in the forward overhead cabinet; and there is a base speaker built into a fairly small box against the passenger side wall beside the passenger chair. I thought of going with a simple Bose system or something equivalent but they all come with a huge base speaker box that is too big to comfortably fit anywhere without a lot of rewiring and/or remodeling. I know some have such a base unit in the cabinet under the stove ... but again, that would involve a bit of rewiring which is further complicated by that cabinet being within a slide-out. Again I am not looking for a fantastic surround sound system ... just one that works and gives fair quality sound for these aging ears.
I'm open to suggestions of what others have done and/or recommendation for a facility that could do a relatively simple conversion for me. We will be in the Junction City Oregon area this summer (for the first time in many years) and don't recall which facilities might be best for this kind of work (stressing the point again that I would like to keep this simple and I'm not looking for a Carnegie Hall theater experience.)
Thanks (and thanks for the great responses to other recent questions I have raised to this group), Steve, 2002 Intrigue #11382
