Shureflo Extreme 4900

I have been de-winterising the coach and as we have only had it for 18 months I am still on the hill, going up! We have good flow and pressure at all the faucets and the toilet flush is good, except for the galley sink. It has a home style mixer and the flow is terrible. I took it apart today after checking all the pipes to it and found that the orifices inside are very small, OK for mains pressure! Anyway these Shurflo pumps are variable speed pumps, unlike the ones on my boat and when you flush the toilet or run either the shower or bathroom basin you can hear the pump come on at full chat. Put the kitchen tap on and you can hear it just about pumping. I suspect the restrictions in the faucet are creating backpressure to the pump making it think the demand is low.
So others must have one of these faucets and pumps? Any ideas how to fool the pump in to trying harder?

The pump is meeting demand, there is no way to fool it. If you want higher flow you will have to change the faucet. However, a lot of flow rates are now mandated to be low flow.

In theory perhaps, but the cut off is pressure related, 50 psi I think, so if the back pressure from the faucet due to the very small orifice, is such that the pressure increases to close to the cut off it will then slow down the flow pre cutting out? Well that is my take. The difference is night and day with the other faucets.

I assume you have cleaned the aerator on the faucet. Have you tried running the faucet with the aerator removed?
You are correct the cut off is pressure related, there is a correlation between pressure and flow volume. Your issue is flow not pressure. Any raise to the cutoff pressure of the pump will result in no measurable flow increase.

I had taken the faucet apart, the head is on a shower like hose which pulls out and even unscrewing the head off the hose the resultant flow from the hose is weak. I did remove the cartridge as well but could not see any obvious restriction, however we will try to clean it, but as they are fairly cheap I maybe will pick one up tomorrow and replace it to see if that is the cause. And thanks for your suggestions and explanation.

I had a similar problem with our 98 CC Allure. Replaced the cartridge, helped a little, but not much. The problem was solved whenever I removed the hose, from under the sink, and cleaned the orifice that the hose attaches to. If I recall correctly, the orifice remains in the rigid copper piping after you remove the hose. I used a wood screw to extract it. A real pain to get to, thus I removed the drain pipe for better access.

Just noticed your post re the poor flow from your galley faucet and thought I would offer the following: When we collected the coach from the factory one of the items I complained about was the poor flow from the galley faucet, they looked at it and advised that the flow was acceptable although it was barely the width of a small pencil.
They were obviously not prepared to do anything further, so I removed the factory fitted pump which I believe was a Shurflo 3.5 and replaced it with the larger capacity Shurflo that you have now, the flow improved but I believe it should have been more.
Then I stumbled across something that in my opinion did improve the flow to a point that it was no longer an issue.
Now I seem to remember that with the pump switched on and fresh water in the tank, I opened the city water valve for about 20 - 30 seconds during this time the pump would run fast, after closing the city valve the pump would stop. when the galley faucet was opened the pump would start as normal but we noticed an improved flow I would carry out the above procedure after each time we noticed a reduced flow which would only occur if we had refilled a dry fresh water tank or after disconnecting and reconnecting to a city water supply.
I came to the conclusion that by opening the city valve somehow back flushed the pump and maybe in the process removed any trapped air, I don't know but it worked for us.
