Overnight Beach front suggestion in the Gulf Shores area

Yahoo Message Number: 87441
Hi,

We are picking up our first motor coach (2007 Tribute) of any kind in 2 weeks. We are picking up in Jacksonville and bringing home to Austin. We are planning to take 2 days to get home as we want to spend 2 nights out getting the hang of it!
Any suggestions on beachfront (or as close as we can get) sites in the Gulf Shores area????

Thanks!

Welcome!

1000 miles in two days! Slow down and enjoy your new coach. Explore the areas you stay at. Hope this very fast trip will be an exception. Don't pull the new-to-you rv into the rv park after dark -- harder to safey park and do the hookups after dark.
Make use of www.rvparkreviews.com for picking good places to stay. Reviews are done by people like you and me. Post a review after you stay at a resort to help other folks.

We belong to the 2-3-00 club. We normally drive 200 to 240 miles a day when we are on a time schedule, about 4 to 5 hours with stops for relief and snack. But when pushed maybe 300. There were times when we had to drive 5 to 600 miles a day, but those are long gone. Slow down, save fuel, enjoy the scenery and get off the interstate. Stop and enjoy some of the locals favorite water holes and food places. Mom and pop restaurants are still the best for the dollar. Some of are friends make a point of limiting there travels even further, two to three hours a day. In my part of the world where there are vast areas sparsely populated; its still possible to travel fairly short distances to sample local lore and cuisine. Have fun and stop and smell the roses.

Depends on whether you want luxury RV resort (Bella Terra) or something with less amenities like Gulf State Park campground. Check www.rvparkreviews.com for Gulf Shores Alabama and you will find several.
Enjoy your trip!

We love Mexico beach, it is about 30 miles east of panama beach and is the only undeveloped beach I know of all the way accross there. Some of the most beautiful sunsets, you can walk the beach way down past the air force base. I can't remember the name of the campground though. Have fun with your new coach and welcome to this site, lots of great people and talent here.

I agree with this guy, Heritage is great. You won't be disappointed.
It's located in Orange Beach.
