entry step wont retract

Just dealt with a problem with the entry step not retracting. The trouble shooting steps in the manual were pretty helpful and found the the switch in the door to be bad. When the door closes the switch closes and allows power to the motor, retracting the step.
Good information to know. In my case I had to get moving, so I slid under the step and removed the bolts holding the pivot arms and was able to retract the steps manually until I had a chance to diagnose the problem.
