Webasto Heating

The heater fires short-term then blows the 20 amp fuse at wire 403, which is a pre-heat for the furnace. Don't know where to begin to diagnose this problem. Any ideas???

Bob - I had a similar problem with a blown fuse on the electric heating element circuit. It turned out that an over temperature safety thermostat switch had shorted the hot side of the heater circuit to ground. This caused a dead short and blew the fuse. The safety switch is screwed into the tank on the Webasto side. I did the repair myself and it wasn't too bad of a job. The short (if this is your problem) could be temperature sensitive. So that's my idea. Good luck.
