Repair Aluminum Radiator

It has been recommend to have my Aluminum Radiator re sealed. The cost of this is only 150 -200 dollars where a new radiator is four thousand plus. Does have any suggestions.

My factory radiator died at 13,000 miles and I opted for a new brass radiator from a local RV dealer at about $5000.00 which lasted about 1200 miles, yes 1200 miles. The repair facility went kicking and screaming it was probably not their fault as the repair was done 5 months earlier and told me they couldn't look at it for weeks. Seeing the futility of solving the problem through them I took the coach to Country Coach and had a bolt-together, semi truck type radiator installed and have had no problems since. My advice to you is just spend the money for a heavy duty unit because it will probably come back to bite you if you don't.

My radiator was replaced just before we got ower coach with a STEEL & COPPER-BRASS Bolt Together Radiator w/ updated rubber mountings from here http://www.radiatorsupplyhouse.com/ads/radsupplyflyer12-08.pdf sent to Quinn Cat in Ca. I have all the paper work $5200. My understanding is the stock radiators can not be fixed.

Ouch, feel for you.

Not familiar with the radiator differences between the Allure, Intrigue and Magna lines wit your Inspire. But I've seen a few salvaged CC's over thre last few months. If they are a match, and do not have the same Alum style, perhaps get a salvaged unit and have it well serviced?
Or, just tell Kevin O. To stop forwarding bad jokes - and buy you a new radiator!

Suggest you at least call Brice Thomas Radiator Supply in Gadsden, AL 256-546-4613. Their sister company, adjacent building, is CG&J, Inc., who manufactures and repairs aluminum radiators and charge air coolers.
They replaced the aluminum core (reused existing tanks which tested good) for far less cost than I could begin to get from the California or Oregon manufacturers. They included installation plus a one year mileage unlimited warranty! All other options I found cost more, didn't include installation with very limited warranty time and mileage.
During removal they found that corrosion was deteriorating my copper/steel radiator. They said, unlike a truck radiator which was basically tall and narrow, mine was short and wide and consequently would not support the weight of coolant if built out of aluminum. (Charge air cooler was not a problem because it only has to support hot air.). For $300 more at that point or the overall job, they said they would remove my copper coolant radiator, unweld the tanks, measure the core and have a radiator manufacturer from Dallas they had a relationship with manufacturer a new core to specifications, and they would reassemble -same warranty! Costs for the Dallas manufacture and shipping were also quite reasonable.
I drove from SC to Al. If Al is too far from you, I think they have several warehouses around the country to reduce shipping costs and time. Only issue I see here is you probably need a non-standard size..
Even if none of this sounds feasible, I would call them for advice. They were able to give me my options after simply reviewing an iPhone picture I sent them of my CAC through the grill. I think they are a third generation family business. Very helpful and friendly.
