HWH controller leveling fuse

Hi folks,

I know that this topic has been discussed before, but......
I'm looking to temporarily disable the HWH leveling controller by installing a toggle switch.
None of my schematics show placement of any of the HWH circuitry, nor can I find any designations for it in any of the fuse blocks.
I have two 12 volt fuse blocks inside the coach @ the left of the drivers' feet, but none feed the HWH controller.
There are no fuse blocks in the steering compartment nor in the area forward of the passengers' seat.
Does anyone know where the fused (7.5? amp) feed originates in the 2001 Intrigue? I've scanned messages back 7-8 years and cannot find anything specific as to location for this fuse for this vintage coach.

On my coach the fuse is fuse number 10 inside a rather large metal box containing the electrical connections for the HWH system. That box is located in the inside of the coach directly in front of the passenger seat. You need to remove a panel (or other item depending on how your coach has been modified) which blocks access. The panel is the big panel on the right as you climb the stairs into the coach. Once the panel or bookcase (in my case) is removed the metal box with the fuse will be visible.
A switch may be more trouble than it is worth considering the location of the box. I've owned the coach since 2005 and only needed to pull that fuse once.

Check wire #68 in the fuse box in the external compartment under the driver's seat. It has listed steps, leveling, and something else, I don't remember. It is a 7.5 amp fuse.

I installed that switch a few years ago and it has come in very handy several times to raise the coach when negotiating driveway dips, some steep railroad tracks, and other uneven terrain, etc. I located the switch on the side panel where the transmission panel is.

Actually, that fuse block is located inside my coach just to the left of the drivers' feet rather than the outside steering bay. It's marked as you said, but didn't seem to do anything when I pulled it. There was still power to the HWH push button control panel. Should I not expect to see the button panel go dead?

I'm doing this with the bus in the garage w/only the ignition key on. Engine not running, parking brake on, not moving.

Do I need to fire everything up first in order to check it out?

Dave, not sure what you are trying to do. If you have a problem with a ride valve, you can start the coach, use the HWH pad to get coach to ride height and then pull the 7.5 fuse and your coach will stay at the height you set when you go to travel mode. With the 7.5 pulled, the pad will stay lit up.

Don.........The door to my bus garage is 12'2". I must dump the air to enter or exit the garage. Bus tries to go to travel height as soon as I start to roll, which requires me to lean way down to the right and hold the 'down' button while I'm trying to back in and keep my eye in the mirrors. Very unhandy and after years of doing it this way...........well, I'm just fed up. Time for a change and a switch is cheaper than tearing out the 12' roll-up and replacing with a 14'.
Thanks for your wise counsel. We're heading out this afternoon for a week or so, but I'll get to it when we get back home.

In my coach (2007 Inspire) you have to activate the Coach Battery disconnect switch to "on" to activate the Ride Height before driving. However, if you leave the coach batteries in the disconnect mode, you can still drive the coach with the HWH air bags fully deflated. You don't need to install a new switch.
