Samsung Install - Another Option

Yahoo Message Number: 89295
Completed our Samsung install in our '06 Inspire. I removed the drawers to place the unit lower and the base of the Samsung is 5 inches from the floor. The reefer fits in the Norcold cut out with room to spare. Removed the old base. Because of the pipes / wiring to the slide, we had 2 aluminum angles formed ( 3" high by 5" wide ) to act as tracks for the Samsung. Water needs to be shortened and propane capped off. The vertical sides hold the unit front and rear(of coach) and the bottom is for the frig rollers. Frig is bolted down. There is no floor under the reefer but left open in case work needs to be done on the slide pipes and wiring. Made a wooden rack, that can be put in place so the Samsung can easily be rolled out to work on the side stuff. It is screwed together and comes apart for storage. Added some small trim around the opening and a floor vent above for ventilation. Because of 12 volt being there from the Norcold, added a small fan in the vent, with a switch, to help move air, just in case. The Samsung has been performing without a question. Wiring for the inverter and 110 supply was completed like others have done. The installation is a great plus to everyday RV living. I want to thank everyone for their input and great ideas. Hopefully some of my ideas can help someone else. This forum is great!!! Ned Herrmann 06 Inspire 51677
