Allure freshwater tank overflow

Yahoo Message Number: 89341
I recently was filling my FW tank for a trip and got distracted doing other stuff. After some time, I noticed the See Level gauge in the coach read 100% for FW. I went outside expecting to hear or see water coming out from under the coach somewhere but did not.

So where is the overflow for the FW tank?

There is an overflow drain on the top to the tank. 2 hoses on my bus.
You should see the water coming out the bottom of your bus. What isn't good is the hydrostatic pressure built up on the tank. If great enough (fill rate exceeding overflow drain capacity) you can bust a tank seam.
Hopefully that didn't happen.

Yours might not be full yet. My gauge can say full but I can still run more water in it for 5 minutes or so. Then it will come out the overflow.

On my 2006 Allure 430 the FW overflow is just in front of the rear duals on the passenger side. It will take quite a few minutes for the overflow to spill water after the panel inside shows Fresh at 100%. I have always wanted the extra FW capacity, so I will generally fill it to overflowing!
Scott's point of pressure and the tank seams is valid, so either watch it or don't turn the fill hose on full.
Which leads me to another thought, when hooked up to a pressurized water source I assume the correct ball valve position bypasses the tank and only pressurizes the plumbing (and not the tank)?

OK. I had no water coming out anywhere but the tank seems fine. It has remained full (we had to cancel our trip at the last minute). Perhaps even though the See Level said 100%, the tank was not so full that it overflowed before I shut off the water.

My tank shows full well before it is actually full.
