Does anyone have an email address for someone at Dickmans as their website does not seem to have it displayed? I am in the UK and will be changing my tyres in the new year so I will change the Smartire sensors then too. I need to start a debate with Dickmans on sensor supply and getting them coded. I think I may have to send them my black box as well?

Michael: if you have a Silverleaf, you code the sensor numbers in yourself. All that is required is the sensor number and location on the coach. No need to send them anything. I replaced mine last year and reprogramming the Silverleaf took less than 5 minutes.

Michael, go to the Silverleaf website and look under mauals for the document you need, which should have all the information you need to re-program the Silverleaf for your new sensors.
A careful review of the different sensors available on the Dickman's website should tell you which units you need. Once you think you are ready to order call Dickman's. One of the service techs will discuss your situation and confirm you choice or redirect you as necessary.
Worked for me . . . with new sensors on board and functioning nicely after a years service.

Hi Michael I have been talking to Paul at Dickmans re: tires and sensors. On my previous coach, 06 Allure, it is true that the sensors can be programed by the SilverLeaf, however on newer coaches like yours with a round, or small square readout on the dash you need a scan tool. I am sure Paul can help you program the new sensors to the system without a trip to the USA I recently received an email from Paul lsmd740@... I hope this helps.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on the issue, my Smartire is connected to its own display not my Silverleaf. In the manual there is reference to a special installers unit for programming new sensors. Whether I could connect the smartire to the Silver leaf is another exercise. What have those done that have their smartire like mine?

Michael, If Dickmans cannot help you go to http://www.smartire.com/support/manuals for more information. This division is owned by Bendix Corp. In your research you will find that they sell a scan tool that you can use to program it yourself. I am going to Dickmans for tires and new sensors this month. I suspect that adding smartire to the silver leaf is not an option. Smartire is no longer supported in the RV industry, but still used in buses and Heavy trucks. I should know more when I get my ssensors replaced.

Is there any way to verify the numbers on the sensors, short of removing the tires? I remember seeing a sheet with those numbers but cannot locate it now.

Steve, thanks, I have now had a response from Dickmans and will see what their proposal is, also Kevin has an option for me too and I have several months to work up a plan. I would be interested in the outcome of your install and any issues to give me a heads up. I'll be managing this from 3000 miles away! How many miles on your tyres, I know its an age thing but interested.
Lee, my Silverleaf is the 240 basic version display head and I would need the 340 to even start sorting out connectivity, but thanks for the input.

Michael, I will keep you updated. My tires have 18000 miles, but I feel that we will probably keep the coach 5-7 yrs so make the change now and be done with it, also the smartire batteries are also about to die. Michael, did we meet at "Camp Country Coach" a few years ago when your coach had a tank vent problem? or was that someone else.
