Allure Sub Woofer Question

I have traced an issue with the Yamaha home theater receiver/amp to an issue with the sub woofer under the galley sink (I think). The Yamaha will shut off if the volume is increased to a certain level and the trouble-shooting guide suggests that may be due to an attached device not being on. I cannot get the sub woofer to come on (no power-on light).
I've looked everywhere I can think of to find a fuse for the sub woofer. I want to eliminate the possibility of a blown fuse before I pull the woofer out for inspection.

Anyone have any idea where there might be fuse for it?

On my bus there isn't any fuses in the sub-woofer circuit. There are two voice coils in the sub-woofer. You can detach the wires from the back of the sub-woofer amp and connect a D cell to each voice coil, one voice coil at a time. A small amount of clicking should be heard as well as the radiator moving either in or out depending on polarity.
This will verify a complete circuit to each voice coil. Make sure to check the polarity and wire the voice coil leads (4) correctly. The idiots at CC wired mine incorrectly. Both voice coils should be phased identically.

The amp has a signal sense circuit. Meaning input signals below a certain level are treated as no signal and the amp shuts off. It wakes up again when a signal is sensed. You should supply a known to be good audio signal to the sub-woofer amp and listen for something at the speaker. This will verify that the amp, wires and woofer are working.
Check both channels. If the woofer and amp produce sound then you've got an issue with the feed upstream. Check the obvious like cables and settings.

Jamo made the sub-woofer amp which promptly blew out. There is another company that makes that exact same amp for 1/2 the price. Can't remember the supplier. But the amp is identical in size and specs and will fit in the same space. In my bus that's behind all the switches over the entrance door. Good luck.

Polarity of the woofers depends if they are located on the same baffle, surface, or on opposite sides of an enclosure. Some systems are designed to be push-push and other push-pull. Go to Hifi manuals .com. You can down load 3 manuals a day for free/
TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731. PS. Yamaha has never been known to make anything dependable in the HIfi market with moving parts, or located in environments with ambient temps above 104 deg. F. .

Could be apples to oranges, but have you validated the unit is plugged in?
Our 04 Allure wit Bose 3-2-1 also has the muffled sounding sub under the sink. Our sub was not working, and I found the plug was not all the way into the outlet. Suspect it had been yanked on by accident. Also plug a light into the outlet, if your coach is like the Allure, and check that you have power to the outlet.

Our Jamo subwoofer amp that is located over the entrance door died and I replaced it with a Dayton amp for half the cost of the Jamo. Replaced the main receiver with a Pioneer. Sounds great!

On my bus the woofer has a single radiator with two voice coils. The two channels are magnetically mixed within the woofer. The Yamaha amp (Model RX-V367) has been very reliable. Certainly better than the Jamo junk it replaced.

OK. I may be a little lost here. If I am reading this correctly, there is a separate amplifier for the sub woofer in the overhead over the entry door?? I was thinking the Yamaha was all there was driving all the speakers.
I did verify that the sub woofer is plugged into the 110v outlet under the stove but I do not get any power on light/LED when I switch it on. If the amplifier you folks are referring to (Jamo??) is shot, will that keep the sub woofer from powering up?

I checked the drawings and it states the Yamaha YST-FSW100, you should have the to "set bass volume to 9 and ensure the power button is on" I see nothing about another amplifier

I had my system apart yesterday on my 2006 Allure if it is the same as yours. There is a jamo amplifier above the door with four colored wires going to the sub-woofer. There is also two smaller old style speaker wires coming out of the jamo which I could not trace. There is also a power cord from the jamo to a power strip above the door. There is an on/off switch on the back of the jamo as well as a decibel adjustment knob which I believe establishes some time of sound cut in and off based on decibels. My system worked for a while and then shut down. I don't know if the jamo got hot and shut down or what happened.

Dan, I checked the A-V wiring diagrams that came with my coach and it clearly shows a direct connection from the Yamaha receiver to the sub woofer with no amplifier in between. I plan to pull the panels over the door and see what I find.
I did remove the sub woofer from the coach and take it to the bench. I checked the on/off switch and it is fine. What I did find is a blown 1.6 amp fuse on a circuit board where the AC power cord attaches. I will be replacing that fuse and see what happens. Obviously something caused that fuse to blow.
We will likely rarely, if ever, use the home theater system up front (the one in the bedroom is great) so I may just leave the SW out. There is good storage space to be gained under the sink with it removed.
