King Controls KC-2600 in 1998 Intrigue - throttle inoperative

I'm having an issue with a 1998 Intrigue ("6C" Series Chassis, 325HP Cummins). The throttle doesn't respond to movement; the pedal moves but the engine doesn't rev. The high idle is also not working.
Everything worked properly yesterday, and nothing has changed except for shutting off and turning back on the main breakers by the batteries.
Manually moving the cable on the engine does rev the engine. I'm thinking that this narrows down the problem to the King Controls KC-2600 cruise control module which moves the throttle cable on the engine in response to electronic commands from the throttle pedal, cruise control, fast idle, and anywhere else.
I have Googled and found many comments and threads about troubleshooting these. I have so far verifeid that the brake lights are working and all under-dash fuses are good. The throttle cable feels like it is able to move freely in the sheath (not stuck anyway).
Any ideas? Luckily I am in Minneapolis and the King Controls company is located here, so parts should be somewhat easy to get I am hoping.
If anyone has had similar issues with one of these I'd appreciate any insight or advice. I'll be sure to update the post when I figure out the problem and get it fixed.

Thanks

A couple of years ago on my '96 Intrigue I could not throttle and bottom line it was a problem with intermittent pac brake sticking closed. Something to consider. Jim Veen, '96 Intrigue, 36 ft. #10299, Palm Desert, Ca. now in Mi. for the Summer.

I got this fixed. Long story short is I needed to have the King Controls module rebuilt.
This blog contains some awesome information about the background of this problem and the company's current status etc. http://beamalarm.com/Documents/king_control_throttle_and_cruise_control_issues.html
The King Controls company is still in business in Bloomington MN but they only do TV & satellite stuff now; the line of cruise control products is long since discontinued: http://www.kingcontrols.com/
However a former employee named Steve apparently bought the patents etc. for the cruise control stuff and started his own company in Faribault MN: http://www.cruisecontrolking.com/ He still does service and tech support, and he helped me diagnose it over the phone (the motor was making grinding noises and not moving the cable). So I sent it to him and he rebuilt the entire thing in a 24 hour turnaround time. Reinstalled it and it works like a charm.

Similar problem. Removed the board in the King Controls module and saw an obvious loose (overheated) diode. The solder was pretty thin around it. Resoldered and has worked fine for several years. They seemed to have this problem for a period of time.
