I'm needing some preventive maintenance done and will be getting other stuff done at Creative Coach and Fountain RV around the first of November. Does anyone have recommendations?

Thanks.

Hi Dennis My name is Mike Maniaci and I live at Bay Lake Motor Coach Resort (about 3 miles from creative coach). I have never done business with fountain rv but I sure have with creative coach .I've had my coach at creative coach several times. Every time it was a bad experience and I thought well things happen, so give them another break also they are close to my home. My dash air, I brought the coach back at least 5 times. The last time he charged me an additional $500.00 plus and it still didn't work after the freeon leaked out in less than a week. The owner said there just hard to fix and its not there fault. So I brought it to another mechanic and it was fixed the very first time. To me, lester is just as bad as the owner of creative coach. .Dennis, I can go on an on. Believe me I'm not the only one that feels this way. There's a good chance you will get taken .
I have finally found a good and honest mechanic that works for himself. He learned at lazy days and another big coach shop up north. If you want his # let me know ( he is very familiar with Country Coaches).

I have an 09 crane praire, allure 470 #31713 Mike

Dennis: I have had work done on my coach at Fountain RV. Butch Williams was very professional and accommodating. It was a good experience. I have years of experience in the Auto Repair business and can tell when a tech/shop doesn't know what they are doing or are trying to sell you something you don't need. Was never the case with them. And Fountain's hourly rate was within industry standards. I will use them again in the future.
I also had a quote from Creative Coach for a new floor. I passed. IMHO the price was higher than I thought the job was worth. Having said that, if it came down to body and/or paint work I think they would be a good place to start.

Hi Im a Retired Cat Tech, I worked my last Dealer in Riverview Tampa Ringpower They are honest snd worked on many a Lazy Days Motorhome with Cat Diesels! I had my share on Working at the time on Cat RV Generators made by Power Tech. for Cat. They also have a Store in Orlando! Get all your work in Writing!Beforehand! Also have your Cat ECM Checked for updates there is a small Flat Rate for this and sometimes The Service Mgr. can throw this in as a courtesy! Get your Oil Sample of Engine and Transmission! They use Booties to keep the rig clean and protectors for the carpet! If You have the work done in Tampa tell the Shop Service Forman Ken Said Hi! They are well trained to work on motorhomes! Lots of Letters of their good work sent to Caterpillar! Keep us posted! Ken 99 Allure 30356!

Hi Ken:

What do you mean have your engine and transmission oil sampled? I have 52,000 miles on the coach. I have had basic oil and filter, fuel filters, and coolant filters changed along with chassis lube. Should I ask them to do everything that hasn't been done up to and including the 50,000 mile maintenance?
Thanks to you and everyone else for your comments and recommendations.

Hi Friend, I use to tell my endusers fluid samples are a must! They detect early failure Issues before they occur! Since your coach is a 2006 its well over due age more then miles! Also Coolant sample is in order. Again the Shop Forman can look up on Cat Mtn. guide for all the Items to be Addressed for the Age and Miles of your coach! I my other life the Coolant left unchecked or missmatched I saw many an early engine Failure Were talking Piston Liner seal failures rare but saw this due to lack of coolant Mtn. The small amount of money spent is worth it! Our Shop Always did samples! On our rental Power Systems was part on the Mtn. Talk to your Shop forman most likly you have had samples! Our oil Lab would only contact us on a bad sample! Good Luck and keep us posted! Ken 99 Allure 30356.
