I had to replace the right front brakes(wheel oil seal leak). Works all done. Now ABS light stays on. Any thoughts out there.

The sensor probably needs to be adjusted after the wheel was removed. But first be sure the wheel hub, etc, is installed correctly. If you had a shop do it they should check and adjust it for free.

My ABS light is ON. This has happened before and I was able to extinguish it by turning the ignition switch OFF and then back ON. Not so this time. Can anyone suggest some trouble shooting or remedial steps I can take?

P.S. I sure wish I could figure out how to research previous posts on Yahoo. I just tried again, because I'm sure this subject has been covered in the past. No luck.

My comes on if I drive any distance, normally very slow maneuvers around a camp site, with the tag up. There is supposed to be a speed limit for this issue and i am sure I am no where near that. It clears itself after a short drive with the tag down.

Not sure if you solved the issue yet , I had the similar problem after a shock failure . Used the silver leave to read fault code , fault code indicated the issues was on the same wheel as my shock failure . A quick look reveled the magnetic sensor wire had been crunched . I fixed the wire and the fault went away.

Does anyone know what makes the ABS light activate? Ours comes on once and a while when it is raining out or even sometimes when the weather is just real humid out.
