over the road AC

I know this subject had been discussed but my search of the archive drew a blank. I am looking for the recharge point(s). I have a Cummins 425ISL.

Regardless of the location of the service ports (at the engine on 2005 C-9), if your dash air doesn't seem quite the same as in days gone by, have the Freon checked. I just had 1 ½ lbs put into my otherwise well-running system and it was like the Fountain of Youth (just up the road). This was the first time anything had been done to the system in over eight years. The decline in performance had been so gradual, I hadn't really paid much attention. What a difference. One hundred bucks.

Well I sort of wanted to do that, but needed to be able to point the company to the recharge points, still not sure exactly where but will look again tomorrow. It seems that they are either at the front or the back so that's pinned it down! At least I know they are on the coach!

I have a 2005 Inspire #51264. My dash air fill port is in front by the generator on the left side. I just added 1.5 lbs into my system myself. I. Bought a diy kit from Wal-Mart. My air is cold now and working fine.

RJ, my tech also found the low side (as I recall) access in the front by the generator, but he needed the (adjacent) low and high side ports to test the system pressure. They are on the compressor (top side of the engine). I've never monkeyed around with auto a/c. How did you know how much Freon to add? Jay

Thanks Larry, now found them, there is one on the compressor but I suspect thats some sort of bleed, I followed the pipes and there they were right inside the hatch, so easy to do just not obvious to a blind man like me!
