EXTENDED WARRANTY

Yahoo Message Number: 92072
I just thought I would share my story with the fine people of this forum.
I purchased a 4 year unlimited mileage extended warranty from ACC WARRANTY GROUP in April 2012 for $5275.00
In May of 2013 I took my coach to Premier Motor coach works in Tucson, (I know a lot of folks here have used them, they are a great company to work with) for the annual checkup before the summer trip. After the service techs went through the coach they found several items that needed to be repaired, some under the extended warranty and some not. Premier sent to ACC Warranty the work order for approval of repairs. After numerous phone calls by Premier and myself and aprox. 3 weeks of time, they approved the work order, the repairs were done and I picked up the coach and we were off for the summer.
Upon returning home I went to Premier to return a level that was left in the coach. At that time I found out that ACC Warranty had not paid the repair bill.
On Sept. 9,2013 I sent by email and snail mail a written cancellation notice to ACC Warranty requesting my pro rated refund. After aprox. 30 days wait time I began to call to find out the status of refund. No return calls, then on Oct. 18 I called and left a message with the phone receptionist that if I did not receive a call back that I would file a complaint with the Attorney General of Indiana, BBB of Indiana, and the federal trade commission, about a hour later I got a call back from the owner of ACC Warranty Steve Burgess he said to go f##k yourself and if I wanted to get my refund to sue him.
Please what ever you do, think twice about doing business with a company like this. They offer no customer service once you have paid them, do not return phone calls, but do screen all calls. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'am going to do what ever I can to get my monies returned but to try to get Premiers bill paid as well, as I want to continue to do business with Premier, as you should if you are in Tucson and need real service. Thanks for listening.

Jim, I am going through the same problems.
Not much money though, 500.- for flat and 975.- for Sauer Danfoss Contr. approved claim# etc.
Waiting, waiting, no messages returned, check is on its way etc etc.

Try my best to stay calm, but it is not easy.

You guys are making me nervous... I'm a new Allure owner and purchased ACC based on a friends recommendation and a few folks on the Good Sam board. I spent over $7k for a 5 yr. policy 3 months ago..

So now I'm on the fence, should I try to get a refund ?

Kent, Call and ask for the owner Steve Burgess and tell him you would like to cancel your contract. I will bet he either will not return your call and or return your money. Good luck I'am working on retaining a attorney in Indianapolis, I cannot or will not let this go without getting my prorated refund back, Jim 2006 Allure 430 #31317

Just go to www.ripoffreport.com/R/acc-warrantee-group/Indianapolis And you will read this unbelievable report about this guy, who on Friday pm was taken to the choice either pay and wait for the check, or sit till Monday.
I think when all get together and talk and have some good advice we solve this quickly.
Question is how can we do this.

I just checked the BBB website and they gave ACC Warranty Services and F:

And the reason because of complaints that ACC did not respond to:

I would suggest going to the BBB website and reading the complaints and then make your own determinations if you want to do business with ACC.

I have found ACC and their management (Steve Burgess) to be totally rude and unwilling to honor their contracts and commitments. I currently have an APPROVED claim that they will not pay. My contract was a month from lapsing when the work was approved and performed. ACC "took me out of their system" a month early and have since been the most non-responsive, less customer focused vendor of any service I have ever encountered. I was, in fact ready, to resign my agreement which THEY had been pushing before this last incident. I am truly glad that I did not engage in another 4 year relationship with this sorry group.
In short, the money from the claim is not really the issue. It is the rude, incorrect actions, incorrect assumptions, and the overall attitude of ACC that puts them on the top of my list of THE WORST EVER.

Hans, No premier has not been paid. Let me know what you have in mind. I have filed complaints with Attorney General Of Indiana, Federal Trade commission, BBB of Indiana, Ripoff.com, I have not heard back from any of these agencies yet.

Sounds like an upstanding business man, NOT! Thanks for the heads up on this guy, needless to say I won't be doing any business with him and I am sure as the word gets out not many other people will be doing any business with him. From what I have read online most of these warranties are not worth the price since most have so many loopholes that you are lucky if you get reimbursed anything on a claim.

ACC RV Warranty has a Face Book page, those who have direct complaints could post there as well, that might get Steve's attention.

The concern for extended warranties Is the way they are sold. Dealer sales people can enjoy up to a 25% commission which affects the firms Ability to support the claims Bob 06 intrigue 12047

I purchased a ext. warranty which was a approx. 10K policy for a discounted price of around 6k when I bought my used motorhome from a dealer. Six months later I called the warranty co. because I had not received my "policy cards"? yet. The dealer never paid the warranty co. for my policy therefor I was not covered. The warranty Co. was treating me like I was trying to scam them and like I was a criminal. I finally convinced them I had paid for the policy and they honored it and said the would withhold payments to the dealer for warranty he preforms on other claims till they had received their money and sent me my cards.

Since then they have paid out nearly as much on claims as I paid for the policy but it has taking a little persuading though.

I just purchased an extended warranty through Premier in Tucson. They highly recommended EasyCare extended warranty. They have had very good luck with them paying for repairs.

I just got mine about a month ago so have not used it. I use to have American Guardian who didn't want to pay for anything.

You can contact Joe Cartwright @ Premier @ 520-624-2024 who handled my warranty purchase.

Hi, I contacted Citibank, my credit card provider I used to pay fo a 5 year warranty. Since it was less than 60 days they have conditionally credited my account under a dispute.
I went this route after no response via phone, fax or mail, nothing...
Policy states cancel for any reason at any time.
Will let you all know more down the road.

Good luck to anyone who has a contract with this company.
