HWH Hydraulic Slide

Yahoo Message Number: 92363
Dear CC Owners,

I have a 2006 CC Magna 45' with 4 slides. It has the HWH 2000 series leveling and Spacemaker level floor slides. The driver's side living room slide is coming into the coach slightly crooked. This causes the roller on the rear metal guide to slide off the black metal guide. I suspect it has to do with the synchronizing cylinder...?? Other than taking the coach to HWH in Moscow, Iowa, is there a knowledgeable service center in Florida?

Thanks very much.

Bob--

Made the trip from MD to IA in September to repair our issues, mostly on the passenger side because of broken plastic rollers. Did have an issue on the driver's side, not the roller issue you are having, but room leaving black marks on our tile floor when retracted & traveling. Even though it was a long trip, it was worth it. But make your appointment early & be stocked up w/ food....pretty rural area.
We ended up doing the upgrade to their new Active Air sytem. After a bit of "learning" struggles, we have mastered the system & now the coach handles like a luxury sedan/sports car. Wayne does most of the driving, but I have done some just in case I need to. Before the system was installed, I felt like I was white knuckling the wheel & pretty tense driving such a big vehicle towing the Hummer. Now with the new system, (which also led to new shocks & airbags because those were failing/leaking that they pointed out) I was actually relaxed driving. Now I'm not intimidated to drive.
The decision to take the coach all the way to IA was because we don't have a service center near home (that we trusted to do the initial repairs). And we have been been on "our own" for so long now (CC bankruptcy & start-up), we'd rather deal directly w/ the manufacturers for the major stuff. We love our coach & all the customizations we've done over the years, it's hard to find anything even close. Not that we don't stop by LazyDays each time we're near Tampa. It's fun to compare & come away even more satisifed w/ our almost 9 year old coach!

Good luck.
