Stop engine and air system

My coach has been in storage for a couple of months. During that time I have started her on occasions and moved her slightly inside the barn, mainly to get the slides out or raise the back end to give me clearance to get under on the trolly.
I went to start her day before yesterday and the Stop Engine light came on and the warning buzzer, the air tanks were empty? She had been on auto level and I had heard the auxillary pump run on ooccassions when the the HWH was probably doing the 30 minute level check over the past 7 weeks but nothing excessive. Today I went to start her and the same issue, but the tanks were not showing completely empty but well down about 60 psi.
We have been on pitches before for 4-5 weeks and the coach has been in storage for similar periods and I have never had the air system drain. Interestingly the coach remained level during this recent scenario.
I have 2 concerns, why does the stop engine light come on and extinguish after the system is back up to pressure, it seems ilogical. So is there something else I am missing?
The other concern is why the system is losing air for the first time in my ownership, where from. Just a sticky valve? Any comments appreciated.

Hi Michael,

Do you remember if you had two air warning lights on the dash, Front and Rear air along with the stop Engine light? I was thinking that it is possible that one of the air warning lights could be plugged into the wrong spot and is showing up as Stop Engine. This would cause the Stop Engine light to come on with low air pressure and go off when the presser comes up. A long shot but possible.
Also there is a one way valve connected to your auxiliary compressor water separator that is used to let the compressor supply air when needed (leveling) then it is supposed to seal so the air from the main system cannot escape. Again a long shot but I have heard of problems with these. Usually a light cleaning and it's ready to go again.

Hi Barney,

Interesting thought about the light; both rear and forward pressures were low or empty, but neither of those warning lights were lit!! Did not think, I will check the wiring. As both front and back were down and there is a warning light for each clearly something is up!
On the leak issue, is the braking air separate from the level air. The coach remains level, but the air brake PSI is low or zero on the dash. Does that still relate to the aux pump, not sure it does.
I ran the system yeaterday, dumped air, pumped the brakes, relevelled, generally exercising the air system and I will look this morning at the result of 24 hrs standing, may do a repeat of the exercise. I am then away skiing for 10 days (Switzerland this time) so when I get back I will see what the status is then?
She seems to level as usual and without incident. I am taking her out of the barn for a 40 mile trip to the paintshop to heal some small blisters at the end of this month, so that will be a test, I also pass my service garage on the way so can always dive in there if needed, or wait until the end of Feb when she has her service and UK government annual test. As it happens I have a new main air filter ready to be fitted so I will get them to thoroughly service the system!
