Two Absolutely Stupid Questions

With the recent discussion about the Pac-Brake and lubrication - can anyone give a slight hint as to where to lube it? Our books show drawings of the system, but no mention about lube. In looking at the thing - it's basically a solenoid with a plunger that moves a "damper". And does anyone know where to purchase the recommended lube (I have the part number from one of the previous posts)?

Also - does anyone know where to find Prestone Heavy Duty for Diesels? It's what was installed at the factory on many 2002 and earlier coaches (the green stuff). We have checked Auto-Zone, Parts Plus, Fleet Pride, Cummins, and even WalMart. The Prestone website shows the HD diesel (it's in a black plastic container), but we can't seem to find it in this area. We've even cruised the local truck stops trying to locate Prestone - that's been a hoot.

I was told by PacBrake to use 'Super Lube', which can be purchased at Lowes. It is usually around the checkout counter at the power tool area. Spray the area where the rod holding the damper goes through the PacBrake exhaust pipe.

-As has been posted earlier be careful with the various brands of anti freeze and the amount of additives needed in the ISC engines...

If you are up to the task and don't want to change out the anti freeze at ORIGINAL recommended intervals, then you can buy "extended" life anti freeze that's good for 300,000 miles between changes AND IT'S ALREADY MIXED AT 50/50 WITH THE CORRECT ADDITIVE ALREADY IN....CAT HAS IT AS DOES CUMMINS...and most of the major truck places...CAUTION...YOU do have to go thru a complete drain and flush of the system using baking soda, etc..and that takes a few hours...but it can be worth it...for example, if you need to add antifreeze, just use the premix stuff.....also, you'll need a "0" unit coolant filter...and mark you overflow tank showing that's it's extented life, so not one tries to add other anti freeze...

Anyway, works for me...

Another thing on all the tire balancing issues....I did what I consider the ultimate....I had all tires balanced, using current spin balancing...then I install a set of those self balancers on the front...no sand or any of that stuff......now talk about smooth........by the way, I hear that the self balancers may not work real well in the north due extreme cold weather...?
