LCD TV upgrade in 2002 Magna

I have seen many pictures of Magna's which have had a simple 32" LCD TV upgrade using the existing cabinet over the drivers seat (as opposed to ripping everything out and putting it behind the window). I assume this is best done using a "full motion" bracket mounted inside the cabinet somehow so the TV can swing out to allow access to the cabinet, connections, and to use it for storage, etc. If anyone has done this upgrade I would appreciate hearing the details. Same with Bedroom. You can PM me directly if you prefer. Thanks.

We are planning to do the same upgrade in our 1999 Affinity, both over the driver seat and in the bedroom. We will be interested also in any responses to this topic. Thanks.

For what it's worth, Butch Williams at Fountain RV just had his outstanding techs upgrade and replace both our TVs with SAMSUNG 1080p smart flat screen units.
Butch was one of the master builders at Country Coach for many years before the bankruptcy. He believes...and now I am a believer....that you should NOT rebuild your cabinets or use the arm you suggested. There is a lot of motion when the coach is traveling and my new TVs fit perfectly, look great and are securely attached to the coach frame.
Also, the resell factor is improved by not using "jury rigged" installation.
Call Butch at Fountain in Lakeland, FL. He can explain his rationale much better than me.

My $35 conversion to a 26" LED is shown in the Photos section. I used an articulated arm from Monoprice.com and materials that I had on hand. The floor of the cabinet is used for a Direct TV DVR machine. All have worked well for over a year. I did have to move the cabinet mounted thermostat on my rig.
Your rig will be slightly different because you have a driver side slide-out nearby and a different side cabinet clearance near the TV cabinet.

I thought I had better post a picture of the install I am referring to since owners are sending me information on the typical install over the dash. This is not what I am referring to.

Hello, we have a 2000 magna as of now I cut out old tv box over driver seat to match the area to the rite side, remade the area with 3-4 plywood, remove all the switches level gauges. Move to new panel I made will be mounted over driver area add seelevel gauge,2 led volt meters. What a difference the remove of old tv box made. Almost finish, just need to cover the 1-4 inch cap with material. Charles 5886
