My wacky LP detector

My old LP detector (10 years old) has taken a mind of its own. It goes off every three hours or so. I reset it and it is good for another three hours. Is there a direct replacement that also has the solenoid shutoff trigger? Second attempt on this post. The first one never showed up.

There are two detectors. The one down low with the on and off switch that also controls the on and off solenoid on the LP Tank and the carbon monoxide detector somewhere near the cook top. If its the CO detector and it smells diesel fumes then it will never act consistently again.and will have to be replaced. I got mine from the parts place OMC recommends on their website. The LP Gas sniffer I had Chris Snyder replace when he was in Tucson. I assume the boys at Premiere in Tucson could do it for you now. I have Eric's phone number 520-225-8155,

Most likely there is a direct replacement. Mine went south after eight years and I was at the FMCA rally, last week when it happened. I took it in to Mac the fire guy at his exhibit and he set me up with a new one, exactly the same.

Mac told me that now they put, what I believe he referred to as, a death chip in them now, so they fail around four to five years.

They are supposed to be replaced every 10 years... Sounds like it is time.
