Braund Antenna and Digital Channels

Can anyone tell me if this motorized Braund antenna that came on our older coaches works with digital TV? If not, is there a retrofit or what do you do. I only use satellite.

Yes the antenna works fine, but the hook up should be directly connected the input on the display. Switching networks can introduce noise and other regularities that can compromise reception. And converter boxes are suspect at best if you want to use your old analog TV.

Thanks Tom. I have an LED TV now at least in front. I have Dishnetwork. I think I need some Dish device to route the Braund signal to the Dish receiver. So taking your advice, if I ever get one of those, I will run the antenna lead directly through it.

Good news is yes it works. Bad news is there re no parts available for them any longer, so when it breaks you will have to replace it.

It's not easy, now days, with RV parks still using analog RF distribution systems, Broadcasters using Digital modulated analog, home players using component, and now HDMI connections. Then they throw 3D in the works and here comes 4K resolution. Now that the DVD and CD are being replaced with direct down load streaming that is very impractical for RV owners its no wonder we're set a drift for entertainment on a cold cloudy over cast day in our coaches. How about just being able to enjoy a good athletic event or stage show of music or drama. Satellite is my preferred choice, but watching the local news and events are popular and necessary when the clouds are too thick. Only having a single run of RF cable to the bed room makes things difficult, too. So good luck on conquering the techies out there pushing the visual envelope.

I choose at the moment not to use HD in the coach as most of us with less than 42" or 50 inch screens in the viewing space and the eye can't resolve that much information on a 32" or 37" screen at normal viewing distances. So I don't care about HDMI either, 3D or 4k. I do use component for added signal to noise ratio which the eye can enjoy on any screen when watching DVD and satellite in the front. Unfortunately I'm stuck with analog RF for the rear TV.
