sony monitor

I am having an issue with my Sony model #SSC520/SSM721 monitor. The image continually rolls. Does anyone know what the problem might be and where I can get it fixed. I have a 1995 affinity #5297. Thanks Lou Falabella

You could be loosing your sync pulse or it could be an internal display problem. dirty and oxidized RF connectors are a common cause, kinks in the RF cable where the dielectric between the center conductor and shield has been compromised can cause all sorts of issues, noise, color fringing, smearing, and loss of a stable picture. Its a challenge, but the first thing I would do is run a cable directly from the antennae to the TV by passing any switch boxes, VCR's, satellite receivers, etc and check the picture. If all is well, I don't relish the challenge you face. If you have a switch box, replace it, strip back all your RF cable connectors 4 or 5 inches and install new ones making sure the center conductor is bright and shining.

PS The out door connection in the plumbing bay used for RF parks feeds has always been my biggest pain.

Thanks for your reply and information. The monitor I was refering to was the back up monitor. The last time I had removed the monitor from the dash panel I thought there were just a couple of electrical snap together connectors, one of which was the wires connecting the camera to the monitor and the other was the 12 volt power supply. I ended up sending the monitor to Canada to have a resistor replaced and that solved the problem. With the shipping and insurance it was a costly experiance. Thanks again Lou Falabella
