Adding a TV to the storage area

Yahoo Message Number: 95157
I recently purchased a 2001 Country Coach Allure (32') and would like to add a flat screen tv for outdoor viewing. It would entail adding a bracket that would allow the tv to lay against the interior wall of the compartment while traveling (with a layer of foam protecting the screen). After unloading items next to the tv, it would swing so it sits at the front of the compartment. My main question is a matter of getting a coax from the interior to the compartment. I have Tivo as my main entertainment, although I can use antenna or cable. A quick fix would be to drop a splitter at the cable going in with a cable under the coach but I would rather have a clean installation that would allow use of my tivo, but I'm not sure how to go from the equip cabinet to the storage compartment. Has anyone else done this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

On my '95, CC had installed a Coax connection. It was in the driver side front basement compartment near an electrical outlet. I split it with the bedroom TV coax.

Perhaps you rig has one there also?

Does anyone have experience using a wireless device for this purpose. What system, in particular?

Consider a wireless device instead of running a cable

Personally, I'd run an HDMI cable. I have a custom bay TV that the bracket has the monitor sitting with the face up mounted to the ceiling of the bay. When used it pulls straight out and swings down. I really like to be able to have anyone put the TV away, and being so stupid simple nothing gets damaged (by me or others). All the bay stuff can be in or out and loaded or unloaded easily. I can shoot you a picture if needed.
As far as watching TV over a coax with a newer flat panel, the picture quality just plain sucked. Originally we ran a HDMI to the bay TV for DVD/PlayStation (for the kids) and watched off the SAT thru coax. Kids would be playing games or watching movies and the picture was great, then we'd watch the news and could see such a difference. I ended up putting in a HDMI switcher/splitter so now all is running thru the HDMI- picture is great. Well worth the extra effort.

You've probably already checked this but my 05 Inspire had a TV coax connection in mid bay on pass side and I plugged in there and ran coax to first bay pass side behind front tire to mount pull out swivel with small flat screen. I could take a picture of installation if you thought it'd help in your situation.
