LED bulb for under microwave

Yahoo Message Number: 95358
We have the GE Advantium microwave/convection oven over our cooktop. We use the built in light to illuminate the cooktop area.
Has anyone replaced the bulb with an LED? We boondock a lot with the inverter on and would like to use the microwave light more but it draws too much current. I am assuming the currently installed bulb is 120 volt.

Thanks,

Just replaced ours for the 2nd time. One screw opens the cover and a 12V 20W G4 blub puts you back in business.

Hey Jim, I just replaced a bunch of my incandescents with LEDs. If you know exactly what you are looking for I guess you could go on line or amazon. I wasn't sure so I called the toll free number at LED Lights, Bulbs & LED Lighting Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS

They were really good about helping me identify what type of bulb I had and what the exact replacement would be. Actually I got a lot of help from here too identifying the bulbs.
The have a good return 30 day return policy if you all guessed wrong. I replaced reading lights and ceiling light bulbs. They will also help you with color. I liked the brighter blue as I wasn't replacing lighting for the "Mood". I wanted to be able to see.
Lesson learned: I wanted lights that would still work with the dimmer. I replaced all 6 of the quartz halogen ceiling lights in the bedroom. While they did work with the dimmer, they didn't pull enough current (I believe that was the issue, I could be wrong) To extinguish completely with the dimmer all the way down. Since there is no "Complete off" all 6 LEDs were still slightly glowing. I pulled them back out and put those LEDs into the ceiling lights that used a on/off switch. I'll be going back to them to try anpther type of LED for the dimmer switch lights.

There are two ways to get more light and that is to use a higher Kelvin rating (more white or blue) or to use an replacement with more lumens (more leds). I have used dimmable leds in the ceiling from three different suppliers including superbright and have not experience the condition that you describe.

We finally got our television hooked up to cable today for the first time! The front is working perfectly and the bedroom tv has a beautiful picture but no audio. Can anyone give me a reason why this is happening or maybe an answer as to how to get the audio. When on the antenna both tvs have both audio and video.
