KVH Tracvision L2

Yahoo Message Number: 95684
My CC has a KVH Tracvision L2 satellite dish that is not being used. I barely watch TV at all, so the over-the-air antenna is more than adequate for my needs.
I am wondering if there is any market for these as a used item, as in would it be worthwhile for me to remove it from the coach and try to sell it on eBay or something? I just have the roof unit and the approximately 40 foot cables for it, no control unit or decoder box.
The dish isn't doing any harm (other than adding to my clearance height) so it can stay there doing nothing unless there is some benefit from removing it.
Any advice from someone who knows about these things would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark M

While I"m not sure its worth the headache, I can say for sure that there is a market for those tracvisions. I know a couple that have come up in the boating world and sold right away.
It may be apples to oranges, because I don't know all of what is/was included in each sale, but if memory serves, I think I saw them going for between 1,000 and 1,500.
Given some of the portable units out there, that might be optimistic.

I do think if it were mine, I'd leave it in place...who knows, you might get addicted to "all my children" one day and find the need to have it on....

I sold mine for $300 in a few days. I listed it on Craigs List.

Well I de-winterized the coach day before yesterday and fired up the appliances.. With it being 105 degrees out side our Norcold with the Amish cooling unit has the freezer at 8 degrees and the refer section at 37 degrees. I have the air conditioners set at 72 degrees. The back unit cycles but with the big windshield the front one is running continuously which is normal. That's the one regret about this coach; I ordered it with three 13.5 kBTU airs and ended up with 2 15 Kbtu units. I would have had to wait another two months for a production up date. We had waited 5 months as we had over 41 build changes, and more time was un acceptable. It would have have been neat to have the third air and the large screen TV's, though. The motosat fired up and captured Directv's satellite in less than a minute. That makes me happy, too. So tomorrow we are off to see Eric in Tucson and have the annual service done. Talking about the heat, we will be going from the frying pan into the fire. But hope to be in cool Colorado next Wednesday or Thursday.

Phil, are those L2's compatible with dishnetwork dual tuner HD receivers as they are without purchasing KVH upgrade equipment? Rich 2002 magna
