Although I have a CAT, mine did that. I had to use the kill switch in the engine compartment to shut the engine down. It was the ignition solenoid in the front run board that quit working. After shutting down the engine, I used the chassis battery disconnect switch to disconnect the chassis battery and then banged on the solenoid with a large pair of pliers. After that it seemed to work ok. My original went out after 14 years. The replacement lasted 2 weeks. I replaced this last one with a Cole Hersee 24213, a 200 amp version with silver-tungsten contacts.
