Eric at Premiere in Tucson has 5 units on order. One has my name on it.
So give him a call and reserve

one for your self. I'm going to hate leaving Durango and suffer the heat in Tucson, but I had to pull the

plug to get my fan to go to full speed pulling the grade into Flagstaff.
Other wise that red warning light

indicating 219 degrees would have come on. The controller only allowed the fan to run in medium or

medium fast, but not wide open full. And when its 110 F degrees outside pulling grades with out full fan

speed is not good for engines. Thomas W. Insall 2004 Intrigue 11731

Tom, Jim,

An idea for your proposed install of the thermal wax valve. I installed a stainless steel ball valve on the pressure side of the wax valve to give me the ability to shut off the hydraulic pressure and thus put the fan into high speed. The idea is that in the very remote failure of the wax valve you can manually turn of the pressure. That would allow you to finish a trip and not be sidelined on the road. It also allows you to put the fan in high when washing the radiator/cac/tranny cooler. Just soak with simple green or something and throw the ball valve to pull the cleaner and finally the clear water rinse through all the cooling fins. Works great.

Lyle,

I know nothing about the wax valve so maybe that is why you explanation confuses me. Does the valve provides a bypass around the wax valve?

Don,

The thermal wax valve connects to the two hydraulic lines (feed and return) that were previously connected to the Saur Dan Foss, (assuming they have been disconnected in the process of installing the wax valve). Simple---disconnect the two hoses and connect to two hoses included with the wax valve. One hose is pressure and the other is return. The pressure side is what controls speed of the fan. If you shut off the pressure the fan will run at high speed. That is my understanding but for better info contact Scott Zimmer at the number previously provided.
