A/C Fan

Just got back from a short trip and my dash fan quit. Check all fuses to no avail?? It may be a relay but very hard to find. Anybody have or had the same problem?? Vic Chaney

Vic

I have the same unit in our 2003 Magna and the fan bearing makes a horrible noise on a couple of speed settings, which I avoid, but am sure I will need a new or rebuilt one in the near future, so if you would let me know hoe you got yours fixed, I would appreciate it.
Thanks Larry

If your HVAC unit is a Specific Climate System, INC from Fort Worth, Texas the fan are buried in the unit. You have to remove the unit to replace the fans (i.e., evacuate the AC and drain the engine coolant). I have some pictures if you are interested. I did the repair in 2009 and replaced both fans. At the time only one was dead but figured I had it a part I would just replace both. Fan motors were $100 each at that time. Both fans only lasted a few years and are now dead.
