Help! Clogged Galley Sink 2002 Magna

Yahoo Message Number: 96660
The water is not draining from my damn galley slide sink. It will drain very, very slowly. Like 1/2 cup in 5 minutes. This has never happened before. I removed the trap, but it was clear. Does anyone know how to deal with this? I seem to recall there is some flexible or rotating fitting in the slide under the galley somewhere? I have no idea how to get to it.

Rich,

You may have a defective vacuum breaker for your sink that is not letting air in, or very little air, slowing the drain. If it is not located directly under the sink, remove the top right kitchen draw, and it should be there. The sink plumbing transitions to a flex under the slide. If you extend the slide and look under to the rear, you will see a plexiglass panel that is removable. You will see a white flexible line that transitions from the sink plumbing to the hard line to your gray tank. I would stick with "simple" and start with the vacuum breaker. Once you locate the breaker, unscrew it and see if that cures the issue.

Thanks fred. I fixed with a plunger. it was just a clog after 8 years. I have the front electric slide. the drain set up is totally different. there is no plexi glass cover. it appears to be 2 inch black hard PVC the whole way as far as I can see. there's some kind of a swivel joint at the far end of the slide where it goes down.
