Air dryer filter replacement

We have tried 2 locations for routine maintenance on our air dryer system filter replacement; one in Georgia and Cummins Atlantic in North Carolina. Both techs told us they have not seen a system like ours and could not help us.
We are in search of a facility in Virginia or on the east coast that is famiiar with Country Coach and can perform air filter replacement.

Any information that you can share with us is appreciated.

You might also contact Tom Johnson RV in Concord, NC. They are a fully featured RV shop and service and sell a lot of high end coaches. They have a full chassis shop.

Another option is Carolina Coach in Hickory, NC. They used to be a CC dealer and claim to have retained techs that are familiar with them.

While I have the Allure and not sure how different my air dryer is from yours, I had mine serviced at Cummins Atlantic in Daleville, VA which is near Roanoke. They are a coach care shop and had no issues. They did tell me it was hard to remove the cover from the dryer and they did call Country Coach to determine the correct filter/dessicant cartridge for it.

I am surprised any large truck shop, especially a Cummins shop that services motorhomes could not service the air dryer. Mine is mounted between the frame rails near the drive/tag axles.

If you want to inform your self on your air dryer system Bendix tech assistance is excellent. They directed me to their site where I could download the Service Data information for their systems. The Service Data information provides maintenance information, trouble shooting and parts lists. it also allows you to determine which model or style of dryer system you have. It also provides detail instructions for servicing the system.

I do know that the CAT systems are generally different from the Cummings. For my CAT you can purchase a factory remanufactured desiccant filter at significant savings. You should also replace the purge valve as Bendix no longer offers the rebuild kit for that valve. I found the items were not generally stocked by CAT centers and so I purchased the items and took them to the CAT dealer for installation and there were no issues with the install. There is a core return for the re-manufactured cartridge.
