Entry step lights

I recently replaced the LED step lights, activated by a plunger switch on the door. Is there an easier way to deal with the lights being on all day than taping the switch in? I realize these are LEDs and last a long time, but I'm sure someone has come up with a method to keep off during the day. Thanks in advance Roger Harper

Hi we have a 2000 magna 5886, I installed a 12 volt photo cell on the wiring for the door light and the porch light. We leave the door open and the lt is off durning the day, if we leave in the day we turn on the porch light and when it gets dark the light comes on. Charles

Excellent idea; since I don't have a switch, this will solve the problem and give me the lights on when I arrive home; thanks, the ingenuity of this group I knew wouldn't let me down.
