FMCA Tire Program

Hi

We have a coach that is approaching 8 years old so therefore new tires are in its future. I Have read a little about the FMCA Michelin program.

Does anyone have first hand experience with it and how did it go? Which Michelin tire did you choose?

I live in Oregon and am considering having it done the next time I am in Eugene for service.

I would be interested as well, my Intrigue is getting new tires in the spring.

I've had recommendations from a local big truck tire wholesaler for Hankook (at about $400 each), the Toyo models that came on my 1998 Intrigue from the factory (at about $500 each) and the Michelin XZA2 model that Country Coach used to replace the original tires during a early 2000s recall (at about $660 each). I have not looked into the FMCA program yet to see what Michelin or other models they have and at what price.

Also I read that some CC owners switched to a 80-series profile (from original 275/70R to 275/80R) for as better ride and/or less likely failures, even though it throws off the speedometer slightly.

I have all winter to do research - Experiences (good or bad) with any of these would be appreciated, especially from someone who stores their coach for 6 months of the year like we do here in Minnesota.

We just used the FMCA tire program in Eugene, OR at Superior Tire. The tires were 315 80R 22.5 and each cost $800.00 with a discount from FMCA of $224.00 off each tire. Then we went to Country Coach and had the front end aligned and she drives like a dream! Linda and Larry

Used the FMCA program this Aug. very pleased. Just make sure to follow the instructions on the forum. Used the dealer there in Eugene. Right on 5. They did a great job for us, and are very familiar with the program. Tires have been in demand. Call and schedule at least a month in advance.
