I travelled that route often. Turnpike usually less truck traffic, especially around Miami.

Hi Janie,

We were just down there in October. Would recommend I-95 until Port St Lucie or Fort Pierce, after that take the turnpike. Around Miami, make sure you go all the way around the city by taking the Sawgrass Parkway toll road.
