I tow a Cadillac CTS 4 down with a Remco pump.  Go to the Remco web site and input your car data to see what they say.

I tow my 2014 SRX. I have always towed Jeeps and Range Rovers but made a change last year. The SRX is a great medium weight vehicle both to drive and tow. There is no battery drain while towing as the car thinks it is parked in the garage. I run the engine for three or four minutes each morning before towing and at every fuel stop. I have towed it about 12,000 miles and show no unusual tire wear. I am happy with the SRX.

I love towing my 2011 SRX. It's easy to hook up and likewise I run the SRX about 5 minutes before and after. I use the blue ox tow bar with the Roadmaster air brake system. It takes about 5 minutes to hook and unhook and then its ready to tow or drive. Very nice car to store stuff in while towing and a great car to have around the campground and sightsee. My used SRX even had the hitch to attach my bike rack to.  I've used it for 1 1/2 year behind my Allure and couldn't be happier. The only drawback is the 65mph limit while towing that caddy places on it. I use my cruise control and keep an eye on my speed. I took out a six year extended warranty on it and it still has 4 1/2 years to go or 100k miles

Have a 2011 cadillac srx. Easy to tow. I have a blue ox set up. You need to by-pass 3 fuses BCM1,2,3. Blue ox sells the by-pass set up.        Jim Ringer 2006 Magna 630 6573M

Not sure why you bypassed fuses. I also have a 2011 SRX. The manual doesn't mention any removal of fuses. In the last 1 1/2 years, I've made over 20 long weekend trips as well as a month long trip driving up to 12 hours a day without any battery problems. It really is a very easy setup up and a great tow vehicle to drive when you get to your destination. I always follow the instructions in the SRX manual and 5 minutes later I am pulling it down the road. Cadillac did this one right!

Battery in our 2011 cadillac srx goes dead after about 2 hours of towing. Friend also tows a 2011 srx and he has the same problem.  The cadillac manual for the srx says to remove BCM 1, 2 , and 3 fuse  Jim Ringer 2006 Magna 630

Don't tow at 65mph or greater in California.  Our speed limit for vehicles towing is 55mph (63mph is pushing it), and I have seen the CHP stop (and cite, including a personal friend) people towing faster than about 63 or 64 mph.  If you are a guest in our State, please follow our rules.:-)

I like to return to California, Northern, as I was born in Petaluma and visit the wine country, Snoopy's home,  the coast, and the City by the Bay.  And I am well aware of the CHP.  They aren't as devious as when I was a teenager some 50+ years ago hiding behind bill boards and the like, but they are still just as willing  and I think prefer stopping folks with out of state license plates and demanding payment on the spot.    I got pulled over for having a brake light out even though I have multiples on the coach.  I got a friendly warning and he reminded me that traveling at 58 mph was frowned upon and to take it easy.  Whew!  Lucked out on that one.  I didn't tell him I was a native even though I now call Texas home.  When you are used to traveling between 64 and 68  on the interstates and have to travel 70 on I-10 where the speed limit is 80 to keep from getting run over its a real challenge to drive from the border of California to Palm Desert at 55 mph.  I feel like I can get out and walk that fast.  But once I'm away from I-10 and I-5 and on 101 or numerous 2 lane roads 55 mph is very comfortable.  I just wish they wouldn't use so much yellow  painting double lines on the roads where there is ample space to pass when driving the CR-V.  But then I  had that complaint when I was learning to drive in California, too.  Seems like they are stuck in a rut  out there.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731

My 2014 SRX has the push button starter. No key. I put car in park, turn off engine, lift the shift boot, depress button to move lever to neutral. All done and no battery drain. Great towed vehicle.

I have FWD but, on this vehicle, it doesn't matter.

Google the owners manual for whatever year you are looking at. The instructions will be under recreational towing.
