Amount of CCA needed?

Yahoo Message Number: 7347
Since its my intent on replace my 8D coach batteries this next spring, I thought also about the 8D start battery. I "THINK" its rated at about 1400 CCA..??

My intent is on replacing it with TWO smaller physical sized batteries ....wired together....that are 925-950 CCA each. (12 volt of course)

Anyone see a flaw in my thinking here??

You may want to look at my photos in "Larry's". I replaced the two 8D's house batteries with six golf cart style. Since the photos, I have replaced the two golf cart batteries that I had hooked into the chassis with a new 8D gel battery.
I had a weak start or two on the smaller batteries in cold weather last month so I decided to go back to the 8D for better engine cranking amps. The six golf cart batteries wired in series seem to provide plenty of life. I haven't tested their endurance, but probably will when we go to Quartsite for a few days this winter.

I have looked at it Larry....and captured the pics. My twin 8D coach batteries are weak....hence the switchout to 4-T105's for the coach power.

Since, I "think" the 8D engine cranking battery is suppose to be 1400 CCA thats the reason why I thought about twin size (?) that are 925 CCA "each" for a total of 1800 plus CCA. Along with the added feature of less total cost...AND batteries that wont break my back trying to handle them...*S*
