Bedroom slide leak - 2004 Inspire

This slide has leaked since I got the RV. Several times, service techs have thought it was cured, but it would leak the next rain.

I am at Country coach now and Daniel has fixed the roof seal and he checked the welds mentioned in the file from 2009. He did new welds as suggested. Still leaks.

Any ideas?

I appreciate any help. There is water damage, but I don't want to do those repairs until we can stop the doggoned leaks.

Not sure where your leak is coming in. On my 06 Inspire I fought a leak that was on the floor behind the drivers seat. I finally took plastic and completely taped the window which stopped my leak. It turned out when the window was repaired the sealing strips for the little slide window wasn't thick enough and was allowing water to run down and soak the area.

Daniel worked on our coach and fixed two stubborn leaks that others could not fix; one around a basement compartment and another around/above the drivers window.

Gotta be frustrating for both you and the tech. Is the plan to remove the slide to see what can be done? Other than the slide box itself or the seals around the slide, where else can these things leak? When I replaced my slide toppers, I put Eternabond tape over the seams at the top of the slides to ensure they stay water tight.

our '04 Allure bedroom slide has leaked also since we owned the coach.  We have had 3 different shops try to fix it.  We gave up and when it rains hard and windy we pull in the back slide. It only leaks when extended. Poor design.
We finally pulled the carpet off where it was leaking (front adjacent to the bed) and that stopped 99.9% of the leak. Perhaps the carpet acts as a wick??  We are going to replace the carpet with wood in that location.

I got mine fixed at OMC.  Vern Huber was my contact.  New seals all the way around, properly mounted, did wonders for me.

Two weeks ago I had my bedroom slide leak repaired by OMC. We just went thru those rains in central California last week and no further leaks. The repair tech said that the seal lip is so long that it takes a lot of wear. Replaced seals on each side of bedroom slide.

I had the same bedroom slide leak problem on my 2004 Inspire. I discovered that the unit was not supported well enough on the side close to the bathroom. As a result the slide was rubbing on the lower metal frame that surrounds the slide unit. That rubbing contact separated the frame at the lower corner. Rain water penetrated into the coach behind the inner wall panel and then on the carpet. The solution for my unit was to increase the slide support on the right side of the bed. That increased support cost me the use of one of the storage drawers under the bed. I also raised the slide guide under the bed approximately 1/8 inch, which gave me enough clearance so that the slide no longer rubbed at the bottom. Be careful to make sure that the bed support frame is level after completing the support work.  After that work was complete I went outside the coach and with the aid of hydraulic jack and a 4x4 timber, lifted the slide up so I could seal the outside lower corners of each side of the frame. At the same time I replaced the seals around the slide unit. I have not had a leak since completing the project. It is a lot of work but in my case it stopped the leak.
