Wiring for Fuel shutoff solenoid relay

I have a bosch 5-leg relay that I need help on proper wiring. Whenever I press the engine kill pushbutton, nothing happens. It worked at one time, but not now. The leg that goes to the kill pushbutton has 2-3 volts on it and I don't know if that is correct. I would think that it would complete a ground circuit to kill engine.
 Looking for the expertize on this forum. Someone out there knows how to wire this thing. Don't think it's wired correctly now, also have starting problems and think the relay may be the problem. Engine cranks up but will not stay running. I will sometime but not everytime. INTERMITTING.
 Lift the shutoff solenoid, with ignition switch on, and solenoid will stay in until wait to start light goes out then drops out. I was thinking that the solenoid should stay up until ignition switch is turned off. Whenever the engine does start, I have 13 volt on the hold side of the solenoid.

Hope I have not confused everyone.

Is your shutdown solenoid attached to a P7100 pump on a C8.3L mechanical engine?

Looking at this picture (hope it showed up) terminals 85 & 86 are the coil and 30 & 87 are the open contacts (30 is common, 87a is normally closed, 87 is normally open)

If you apply voltage to 85 and ground to 86 (the coil) it will close the contact from 30 to 87 and open 87a.

My understanding is:

The ignition switch activates a high power solenoid magnet during the engine starting sequence and lifts the solenoid shaft.

Once the start cycle is complete a lower voltage magnet holds the shaft up so fuel continues to flow.

When the power to the second magnet is lost the solenoid shaft drops and the engine dies due to fuel starvation.

So turning the ignition key off from the run position or using the kill switch should remove  power from the solenoid and shut down the engine.

My solenoid magnets decided not to work at 19 years of age.  I replaced the solenoid and all is well, once the proper mounting and shaft adjustments were made to the new solenoid.

My wiring was done by use of a photo of the existing solenoid connections before replacement and I do not remember noticing a 5 wire relay.

My rig appears to be wired as described below:

85  Green wire from Kill Switch (another green wire from Kill Switch goes to ground block).

86  White wire (81-14) to 30

30  White wire from wire loom joined with white wire from 86

87  No connection.

87a  White wire from wire loom wrap (this is second white wire coming from wire loom.

I have a 1995 Magna that had the same problem with the fuel shut off valve.  I replaced the shut off valve, the relay and the ignition switch. The problem still existed..  I bought a cheepo ignition switch and wired it in parallel with the existing switch.  Problem solved.  Some one told me that CC didn't use heavy enough wiring back to the engine.  I found a spare wire in the engine compartment that went to the front run compartment and wired it into the original switch and into the rear relay.  I removed the cheepo switch and have had no more problems. This problem had been existing since the coach was new.  It now has over 140,000 miles on it.
