Cat C9 overheating

Last month we took a trip from Phoenix to Benson AZ. about 175mi. in our 06 Inspire 40' w/ Cat c9.
About 45 mi into the trip my engine temp gauge and my SilverLeaf showed that the engine was running hot I think it was 235 degrees if I remember correctly.
Luckily I was near a rest area, so I pulled in and let it cool for about 20~30 minutes. The rest of the trip and the return trip had no issues. This also happened to a service center tech when he test drove it after having an alignment done.
Has any one had this experience and if so what was the fix? Thank you

If your coolant is at the proper level and this happened, it could be a sticking thermostat  or it could be the fab controller.  Which is always number one on my list.  Go see Eric Olstrum at Premiere Coach service center, He worked for CC for many years in service at the factory and after words with Chris Snyder at Beaudry's in Tiucson and Phoenix.  He's now has his own shop  just off Irvington in Tucson.  He and Chris have serviced my coaches for over 17 years.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731, 98 Allure 30255

back when there was Country Coach my C-9 would intermittently overheat and de-rate (go into safe mode). Idling did not help because the fan was not at high idle (pulling the connector will put it in high idle). Chris Snyder (CC Service Manager said to shut it down and restart as that can reset the computer and we used that procedure for several years before finally replacing the controller.

I had an 05 inspire with intermittent cooling issues and it turned out to be one of the two thermostats. Not a big deal to fix and the thermostat was broken . Apparently this was not uncommon . Since there are two one would open allowing some cooling. We had Colton truck do the repair. Hope this helps.
