Cummins ISL 400 Engine Died on 2004 Intrigue 11826

I backed into my drive and stopped on a slop with the front down.  Not drastic. Decided to back further in drive .  Started engine (seemed to take longer to start)  and slowly backed up.  The engine died and would not start.  Now on fairly level ground.  Let it sit a little while and tried to start and it did start after a little while.  I ran diagnostics on Silver Leaf and it showed low fuel pressure said line 94.  Engine running fine.  Cleared codes and checked again and no codes.  I did google the problem and on another site for someone had the same problem with a 2004 and Cummins replaced a quick connector with a compression fitting thinking air was getting in fuel lines at he water separator junction.
Has anyone experienced this ?

Bill, I had similar problem this year at a Rest Stop, I hadn't cranked the engine long enough to start and it through Code 94 10 1. If you call Cummins and give them the Silverleaf Code 9410, the 1 is the number of occurrences.

Tell Cummins these are SAE Codes which if you get a good Service Tech will translate to the actual Cummins Code.

In my case coach started on 3rd try and I've been driving ever since Cummins believes the ECM adjusted itself due my originally not cranking long enough as I also was on a slope in the Rest Stop.

However it could be your LIFT PUMP beginning to leak through the "O-Rings" check to see if there is any diesel dripping down from the LIFT PUMP. As the Lift Pump is the component supplying Diesel to either your CAPS "cummins accumulator pump system" or your "common rail high pressure direct fuel system" depending on what your 2004 engine was manufactured with. If you don't get anymore Fault Codes I'd just keep driving until you get more.

Fingers crossed it is just not cranking it enough! Good tip on the looking for leakage under the lift pump. (Passenger side, towards the front of the engine. If leaking could be dripping down onto the oil pan.)

And just to be sure, let me ask how much fuel you have in your tank:)! In water in the fuel/water separator? Recent fill up, with possible contaminated fuel? How old are the fuel filters?

I think being on a slope is a clue. Suggests gravity may be involved. Maybe there is a slight air leak at say the gasket on a fuel filter. Air could be entering the fuel line allowing gravity to pull the fuel back into the fuel tank. Then when you try to start the engine there is air in the fuel line.

Happened to me at rest stop on turnpike. My clue was wet filter. It did take some cranking after I tightened it and engine ran rough for several minutes.
