shower stall floor

I am having a problem with the floor of the shower. It has a sand like substance that I am unable to get rid of. The floor is not a smooth surface and this sand is in the creases near the roadside wall. I clean it up and after a while it is back. Checked with Home Depot but they had no idea. Has anyone else ever had this and if so what did you do? It is not blowing in, seems to be from the floor even tho it looks fine.

Dixie,

Sand like particulate accumulates in the bottom of the hot water heater. Drain and flush your hot water heater and you'll likely solve the problem.

Do you wipe down the shower walls, door and floor after each shower?  It makes a great difference at keeping that calcium scum from forming.

A carefully used razor blade scraper can be used on the glass door - beats trying to dissolve it with vinegar!
