Question about injector pump

Can anyone on here help me with information on an injector pump? We have had black and white smoke coming from our exhaust since climbing the mountain at Vail pass. Coach runs fine but sure puts out a lot of smoke.
We took it into a shop in Lakeland florida and were advised it was a bad injector pump.. (1998 Detroit Diesel , series 40) they have had our Coach for 5 weeks and Still do not have it completed and back together.
Have heard everything from:
Cannot get the part.

Having the old part rebuilt.
Had to have it calibrated

Installed and there IS still smoke !! Today, received a call and they are suggesting it may be the Turbo leaking oil??? Cannot get it into a bay to check it until Monday??????? the stories go on and onnnnnn.

Not at all sure what to do at this point.
We took the Coach to Fountain RV and left it with Butch Williams who we had spoken with several times.
TERRIBLE communications. We do not get call backs and when we call, can never get in touch with him..
He FINALLY gave us the name of the shop doing the engine work and left it up to us to talk with them.
We are going into the 6th week on Monday and still NO word back from Fountain RV.. Called this morning, Butch is OFF on Fridays and they do not work on Saturday.

Are We the only ones who have had issues with this place???

Have had a lot of work at Fountain and never had a communications problem.

We took it there and the estimated time was supposed to be 1 week or less. Fountain sent it out somewhere else for the Diesel engine repair and then is when we got the royal run around..Its been different stories every day for 5 WEEKS..?? they finally got the part installed and it fixed 50% of the problem and have NO idea what else is going on. There is a Huge breakdown of communications between Fountain, the machine shop and Us..I am just tired of the run around. we are in Jacksonville and the Coach is in Lakeland where we were assured we would get Great service.. It's definitely NOT been the case.
We have already cancelled two trips with friends and have another Month long trip coming up in 9 days and I am at my wits end... I just wish they had kept us better informed . I definitely feel as if our job has been sitting on the very back burner. Never again...
