Leaking Kitchen Drain Hose In Slide

Yahoo Message Number: 101956
I recently discovered water leaking from inside the slide into the adjacent belly bin,  After trying to get to it from the inside, I gave up & called OMC.  They said you have to tear into the slide to access it (difficult job).  Looks like the sliding of the hose when the slide moves in & out has worn a hole in the drain hose.
My questions are:  Has anyone else had this problem, & if so, how did you fix it?  And, does anyone know of a RV repair facility capable of doing this job in Washington State or Northern Idaho?

Thanks in advance for any help,

I had the same issue two years ago on my 1999 intrigue it's a challenge to get at but can be accessed from the bottom with the slide out. They use flexible PVC and mine pulled out of a glued in fitting. Mine also has a removable piece of plexiglas that the sink drain and hydraulic hoses are above that's probably where you'll find the leak there are lots of zip ties holding it all together.

Brad,

The drain hose in mine (and some other ?Coaches with kitchen slides that I know of) actually pulled apart and ran sink water across the floor.
The plumbing is accessible by removing the carpeted, raised enclosure that is in the undersink area. Screw heads are hidden in the carpet. It's fun finding them. If you're at all handy, you should be able to fix it yourself. Prepare to lose some skin off your knuckles before you're done.
Hope this helps.

On my 2000 Magna, the flexible hose was the same as Alan describes.  The flex hose broke loose where it terminates at the connection just past the slide.  On my fix, the tech removed the top panel on the compartment behind the slide and cut the hard plumbing, added a short piece to extend the hard plumbing so that the flex hose could be inserted into the coupling farther in hopes of making a better seal.  Although it appears that the problem area can be accessed by removing the plexiglas floor of the slide, the tech did not use that area.  There is a small plastic panel on the side of the bottom of the slide frame that he removed and reached through that opening to access the hoses.  As mentioned, all the hoses are held together in a bundle by wire ties;  lots of wire ties.

So far, 3 years with no further problems.

I spoke with HWH yesterday about their active air suspension system, and before I make the decision, I’d be very grateful to have any input those of you who have any experience with those of you who have had this added to your coach.  Thank you in advance.

I'm in Moab, Utah with the exact same problem.  I've removed the under sink box cover, but the problem was downstream.  I removed the under galley kick panel.  I believe the leak is either just before or right where the flex hose attaches back to ABS pipe.  The problem is there is a slide actuator and associated aluminum mount secured in front of the drain plumbing and can't access without removing this slide mount.  Anybody have any experience with this?  I'm hesitant to start taking apart slide mechanism parts since I don't want to get stuck with the slide out.  I need to travel to the Salt Lake City area tomorrow.  I don't seem to have any drawings or documentation for the slide system (other than normal operation).  Any ideas/info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
