2005 Magna #6382. Door noise

Yahoo Message Number: 102404
Hello. We are getting a rather loud whistling noise (like a tea kettle about 73db) from the front door when traveling at highway speeds.  We know our door hinge is probably bent and we will eventually replace it, but has anyone solved this noise problem before?

Why do you think the door is bent?  First try this, it sounds funny but it works.  Just rap once around with a small peace of duck tape the pin that the door latches to on the frame. I've done it and others I know have too.

Tom;

It was suggested that I slam the door quite hard when getting ready to travel at highway speed.  Solved my problem....no more whistle.  Not very scientific and may not be very considerate of the door, but  the same tech said that these doors are really hard to adjust an are often mad worse.  So, I guess I'll keep slamming the door!

We have found that sliding the driver's window open slightly when closing our door requires a less-aggressive slam to eliminate the whistle. It lets interior air exit quickly for a better seal it seems. Safe travels.
