I have a 2003 cc intrigue with Dometic electric/propane two door refigerater.  an We wanrt to replace it with  all electric auto defrost.  Does anyone have any sugestions as to brand and model and what is involved in instillation?

I was not there when it was done but I think they brought in through the door but removed the passenger seat .

Do you have two drawers under the fridge? If so, they will have to go if you are putting in a 18cuft Samsung. If yo have the heat register under the drawers, that can stay.

We lost the drawers but it is worth it.

Forgot to answer this. The best way is to remove the complete window in the slide on the driver's side. The old fridge gets the doors removed and goes out the window. The new Samsung also gets the doors removed and comes in through the window.

We left the 2 drawers under our Samsung, so no cabinet work needed.  It fit easily through our entry door, but we did take the handles off the Samsung and we did remove the rider's seat.  Mary and Mike 06 Inspire 51784

We feel the same in our 2006 Inspire.  We didn't have to do any cabinetry work.  Love having this refrigerator so much!!

Mary you brought the refrigerator into the door and it fit on top of your drawers do you know if there are two different sizes of this refrigerator. Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate the information. One more thing, do you know if there are two sizes to this refrigerator. I can only find one size. Glenn 2003 Intrigue.

As far as Mike and I know, there is only one size of the Samsung 197.  It's really a great refrigerator!  So happy to be able to help.  We've received so much help from so many lovely folks on this CC blog.  (or whatever it's called!)  Please let us know if  we can answer any other questions.  My husband and our builder installed the Samsung 197.

I installed a Samsung in my 2004 Intrigue. It will not go through the door. I tried. Went through large window behind driver. Been using it for 2 years. Works great off inverter. One thing I learned is my friends 2005 has a wider door and is taller. Would have been easier to install. Very hard to get it up and n the hole. Would suggest building a box with rollers correct height to slide it in.

We have been considering replacing our refrigerator with a residential like Samsung. Question for all who have had theirs replaced, who did your replacement installation?

We just had ours replaced with the Samsung unit and love it. We had OMC in Eugene Oregon install ours. $2900 for everything out the door. Two and a half days and the service is excellent.

We have the Samsung 197.  Had to remove the doors and move the passenger seat out of the way.  We did remove the 2 drawers under the fridge only so the height of the fridge was lower.  We do not miss the 2 drawers at all, they pretty  much just gathered junk.  Did all the work myself, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to install.

Amazing Creations innstalled our Samsung 197. We lost the 2 drawers under the old refrigerator. They had to remove a window on the passenger side to get it into the coach.
This has been the best improvement yet to our coach. Food keeps so much longer. It also uses much less energy than the old Norcold.. We do have about 1100 watts of solar and we do dry camp a lot.
