Wind Noise when Driving

Yahoo Message Number: 102723
I have a persistent wind noise when driving. It is not coming from the door. I have been outside to seal every possible small pin hole that I thought might be the source but no luck. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, again I am 99% sure it is not coming from the door.

Yes, I have the plastic covers over the slits and have sealed them except for the down wind edge.

Have you checked around the windshield?  My windshield on the passenger side came loose and all of a sudden terrible wind noise.  Had it resealed in Elkhart.

Wind noise can be tricky to track down, and you need to find the source, before you can figure out how to stop or reduce it:)!

If you feel it is the front door area. Get in, close the door, and have someone go all around the door with blue tape, sealing top, left, right and bottom. 2" wide should do it, and really be sure they press it on good. Then go for a test run and see if you still have the noise.

I recall one CC owner, finding out that it was his passenger mirror causing the wind noise. He used blue tape around all of the gaps on the mirror, and the noise went away. But you know, I never heard what he did to counter the noise?

And as mentioned, yep, windshields gaskets can do this too. And yep, blue tape around the glass and the gasket and the body can be used to test this too...

Best of luck, and please let us know what you find out:)!

Check to see that you have all of your weep hole covers.  You can get strange wind noises if some/any are missing.

We had the same thing and took it to Premier in Junction City. Found out the driver side windshield had popped out of place. I knew how i did it. Went over a speed bump in an RV park at an angle. $450 dollars later I was on the road.

The wind noise was coming from the gap between the generator slide and the front on the coach.
